David Beckham Re-Signs With LA Galaxy

The 36-year-old soccer superstar announced he has re-signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy. This was an important decision for me, the midfielder said in a statement on the teams website. I had many offers from clubs from around the world, however, Im still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy. Ive seen first-hand how popular soccer is now in the States and Im as committed as ever to growing the game here, he added. My family and I are incredibly happy and settled in America and we look forward to spending many more years here. Details of his new contract were not released. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the star athlete was in talks to play for Paris Saint-Germain, but decided to keep his family stateside. PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi confirmed he wouldnt be joining the team earlier this month saying, David Beckham is not coming. We feel a little disappointed.
